Home today

But I have cleaning to do. Seriously, this place is such a mess! I'm starting to emerge enough from my "funk" & now it's bothering me. I have to work 3hrs this evening. For whatever stupid reason, I'm only getting scheduled for 30 hrs/wk, so I pick up extra hrs when they offer them. As soon as my "conditional period" is over, I'll be able to pick up more hrs, people give them away left & right.

Super fun & maybe TMI, but to start the job off with a bang, I developed a row of canker sores in the back of my throat. The last one has finally scabbed over & if nothing rips that off, it should be healed soon. (anyone for oatmeal?) I talked to a phamacist yesterday who recomended a stress-relief vitamin. Here's hoping...

AF showed up last Tues. She waited just long enough & gave me 10 days of "odd" enough symptoms to think "maybe this is the month..."; then whammo, there she is! My mom is awesome & renewed my FF VIP membership. I hope this will be the last year I'll need it. 5 more months until ins. I'll be temping & using the saliva scope until then, but I really don't expect anything to happen until we're able to get some answers.

Ok, gotta run, this house won't clean itself & the cats prefer to nap. I'll be on later after work to get caught up on all y'all. (((((HUGS)))))

Still here.

Sorry I've turned into such a bad blogger lately. There's some other stuff going on right now that has me pretty much stressed out & depressed. I've been spending a fair share of my time lately crying and sleeping. I just can't seem to get a good night's sleep through all the dreams. I think I'll be asking mom for an Am.bi.an soon. I don't dream when I take them. Not to worry, Travis & I are fine. It has to do with sis. :'^(

Anyway, AF hould be here any day now. She's been teasing me since yesterday & I'm just waiting for the full appearence. Today is CD32, so I'm definitely glad that my Cs are getting shorter. I plan on temping this next C to see where I am as far as Oing.

DH is thinking of going to MT for a week next month. His brother is having surgery & his parents need help with work. I wish I could go, there are a couple of friends there who I'd really like to see right now. I just don't think it would be good to take off that much time this new into a job.

Also, totally random, the 's' key on my laptop is sticking. Hmm, not like I need that key ever. I just went back through this post & corrected several spots where they were missing. I'll have to clean out the keyboard, no 's' will get to be a hassle.

Ok, I'd better go get ready for work. I'll talk to you all later.

I killed my phone!

Phones & water do not mix. You probably knew that. So the fact that I woke up yesterday to find mine sitting in a bowl of water was not a good thing. I stick it on my bedside table because it's also my alarm clock. Due to the whole cat thing last week, there are bowls of food & water on my side of the bed for them. I don't know if it vibrated it's way off the table when the alarm went off (i didn't hear it go off & I never miss it), or if someone furry got interested in the power cord & may have pulled it off the table. Either way, it went for a dip & now it's dead. I took the battery & everything out & have really been hoping that it will dry out, I even tried a cool hairdryer. My sim card is still working, so maybe I haven't lost everything from it!

Jen asked what I do at my new job. For any who may be wondering- I work at a Central Leasing Office. Huh? Ok, basically, I take phone calls from people who are looking for an apt. I give them info on the community as though I'm there & set up a visit for them to come out to see it &b start a lease. It's not bad, people are usually nice. It can be a little difficult to still be professional to those who aren't, but the key is to not give their words power & let it roll off me. I'll be sitting by myself tomorrow! My mentor says it's time to cut the y-cord! :^)

Update on the new job

Hello! Ok, so I actually really like the job. :^) After the week of classroom that is, last week sucked! So this week I'm in "mentoring". That means that I have a person assigned to me to listen to all of my calls & coach me on what I'm doing right & where I need to improve. I gotta tell you, I totally love this woman! She is awesome! She's been very encouraging & I've been doing very well. She was hoping to get me solo by tomorrow, but they still haven't 'shopped' my calls & I can't go solo until they do. She says I'm very consistant & friendly, the only part I'm working on is relaxing & being more conversational. I've already gotten guys on the phone who were totally flirting with me. It's kind of a nice ego boost. I have to state that I'm in training & there was one guy who told me at the end of the call that he was very impressed & that I'm doing great for being new. =^D Talk about making my day!

My mentor looks forward to me going forward with the company & has strongly encouraged me to continue advancing. She's also told me that she would strongly recomend me for the mentoring position. I think I'd really enjoy that. This company is so different from any other I've worked for. They really are about builind up the employees & helping us succeed at our jobs. They will work with you any way they can to help you improve as long as you've got the right attitude.

So, I've gotten some time to talk with my mentor & I was asking about the ins. She told me about some health problems in her family & how well the ins has covered it. So I decided to tell her about the one thing I'm really hoping it will cover. She was so nice. It took her & her husband nearly a year to concieve their daughter (who is now in college, so it was a while ago), so she said she can't imagine how frustrating nearly 4 yrs would be. She thinks that the ins would at least cover the drs & medication. Maybe not the treatments, but possibly the tests. I nearly started crying at the possibility of.... well, I'm sure you all understand the feeling! I am in the 6 month countdown & so excited.

In other news- I got books today! Thank-you Lex (beautyforashes)! I'm really looking forward to reading Unsung Lullibies. I'll pass them along to someone else when I'm done with them. It's funny, the Getting Pregnant book is exactly the same one I bought when we very first decided it was time to TTC. Because, that's what I do. Learn a subject, then succeed, right? I mean, right until you go throwing the wrench of IF into it. >:^/

I also noticed that I have a new follower, thank you & welcome! If I don't already follow your blog, let me know so I can start.

Woah! This is my 100th post! Cool...

Ok, that's it for me for now. My eyes are tired of computer screens, so I'm going to go do some reading. Love ya all! :^)

Off to bed

First, thanks for all the nice responces to my last post! You ladies are great!

Ok, I got online with full intentions of posting an update. Then I starting reading all y'all's posts & now it's 11 & I should head off to bed! LOL! I'll try for more of an update tomorrow night.

In short, the new job is going very well. I'm taking phone calls this week & am improving. It's a lot to do all at once, but I'm not feeling overwhelmed. I totally love my mentor, I'll explain that more in a longer post.

I have a new sleeping arrangement thanks to an escape artist cat. Ping got out Mon night when DH got home (about 3am). We couldn't find him anywhere & I worried about him all day Tues. I finally found him yesterday after work. (for the record, he's sort of exotic. i think he's a Balanese & he's just beautiful. he's also a total love. I got him 4 yrs ago, the week of Cuddles' death & a m/c & he's very special to me. one of his endearing points is that he's partially blind, it's a depth-perception thing. he's in no position to be wandering the big world on his own!) The new plan is that I take the cats into the bedroom with me & shut the door when I go to bed. I have a box, food & water in there. DH can open the door & let them out of the bedroom when he comes home & the front door is safely closed!

So now, we are all going to bed! Talk to ya tomorrow! :^)
