Ok, so the one family member that I'd like to let it all out about is my little sis, but I can't yet. I'm still too close to the whole situation. I will talk about it when I can though.
So, let's move on to --Extended Family! Yes, those lovely people who you never would've chosen to have in your life, yet you are stuck w/them! This has potential TRIGS, just warning any who may not be in a good place today.
Ok, so while I was in MT last w/e, I ran into my aunt. (mega eyeroll) This was the one who I didn't really want to see. She was not able to have children & didn't want to know about us, so I never met them until I was 13 & we are not at all close. I like my uncle well enough, but she's...well... crazier than a distillery rat! So, what does she want to talk about? My dad's youngest brother. Someone I never want to see again in my life. He is bad news. And, he was a pediphile. I have no actual memories of this, just a memory of a feeling that makes me want to vomit. ANYWAY, she wants to tell me about what he's doing & where he's living, & with whom. I could not get out of that conversation fast enough. Then I proceeded to avoid her the rest of he w/e. Which means that I never did see my uncle (dad's oldest brother).
While we were gone, my g-ma on mom's side (only grandparent still alive) ended up in the hosp. Her hemoglobin count was down to 5.2 & dropped even further to 4.8 after she was admitted. This is dangerous no matter who you are, but with our stand on blood transfusions & the fact that she's a diabetic w/o a colon, kinda scary. She's been in since the 21st & doing better, hemo back up to 6.8 (should be be in the 10-12 range, doc would let her home on bedrest at 8). Mom's been spending a lot of time there with her for which she gets a guilt trip laid on her about the fact that she's able to leave the hosp at the end of the day. But, g'ma is doing us all a favor & "suffering in silence", she's such a drama-queen. I've never heard anyone "suffer in silence" quite so loudly. Anyway, I'm a lousy g-daughter cause I haven't been there to see her yet.
And, my cousin, who we're JUST so dang proud of! (this is my mom's brother's daughter) She's getting married next Friday. I think this is husband #3, I lost count, may be #4. At any rate, he's baby #3's father. Baby #2 was husband #2's. Baby #1, well good question. There's a very strong probability that husband #1 didn't actually father any of the kids. Shouldn't we all just go give her a big whooptie-freeking-do? Thank goodness we aren't really expected to go to that.
There are more crazy relatives, but I'll stop there. Anyone in the mood for a "my crazy relatives" sound off? Go ahead, let it all out!
Have a great Saturday! :^)

Not a good way to get a day off
AKA- Not a good weight loss program!
Yesterday I got up, was feeling fine, went to work. About 45 mins after getting here, I got so sick that I couldn't hold it in. Ended up puking, TWICE. If I have never mentioned this- I do not throw up! I hate it & will avoid it at all costs. I was also feeling shakey & dizzy & was really white, so I told my boss that I was going home & had my mom come get me (dad came with to drive my car home). I maybe could've driven myself, but didn't want to risk passing out while behind the wheel.
I laid on the couch & slept until 2:30! I was able to eat dinner & that stayed down, but I had an awful headache all night. Today, I feel fine. I think it may have been some stupid migraine or jet lag. Though the "are you pg?" has been directly asked by 3 people (my boss, dad, & DH) & indirectly asked by my grandma (she asked my mom). I'm fairly certain that I'm NOT, seeing as I'm on CD20.
TMI- I think I might be O'ing though. I have a ton of EWCM & have been horny as hell. (even when i was sick yesterday, though we didn't do it).
Idiotic question- Maybe I'm just a crabby b****, but does it annoy anyone else to see posts from women that read along the lines of "me an my bf have been trying to get pregnat"? Maybe it's just the grammar police in me coming out, or maybe it's the "what's pregnat" aspect of it. Immediately irritates me though when I see that in a post. Also annoys me to see the question out of people who are 20 or younger, but that's just judgemental. ;^)

I'm Back!
I didn't intentionally give you all the "silent treatment"! The hotel we were staying at didn't have internet. Yeah, really! I could maybe understand not having Wi-Fi, but NO internet for guest use? It's 2009 for cryin out loud!
Anyway, it turned out to be a great trip! It was really nice to see the family & I ran into a few friends who I haven't seen in yrs (one of my bridesmaids & her daughter, she's moved a couple times & i lost track of her a few yrs back. i can't believe how old her daughter is! she was 4 when she was in my wedding, she'll be a teen in nov!).
Gramma & Grampa K ended up staying in Msla, so we didn't get to see them. :^( I did talk to them on the phone a couple times though. I need to get them a giant thank-you card for flying us out there. I really needed the break! They are making plans now to fly us to Msla in the fall so we can visit with them for a while. We'd love to have everyone be able to come see us here, but they say that it's cheaper to fly 2 of us there than 8 of them here. They've got a point, so I don't mind flying back. (and, not to sound like a mooch, but i really appreciate that g-ma pays for our airfare!)
My nieces are getting so big! The 4 yr old also has a bit of a tendancy to get mouthy. I told her more than once on Thurs. to watch her tone. It's funny how they start striking a pose the second the camera comes out! LOL! The 2 yr old didn't really remember me, but was ok with me after a few hrs. They are both so cute!
As worried as I was to get the 3rd degree about the children situation, it was rarely brought up. Funny, but the comment I got the most was (and i am NOT making this up!) "Wow! You look great! You look so...Happy!" I didn't realize that it was that obvious that I was unhappy when I lived there. I was not really in a good mental place when we moved & didn't want to keep in touch with anyone. I feel better now though, so I exchanged e-mails with a few who I did like then.
I never even saw my ex. I'm pretty sure they were there though as I did see his mom, wife, & brother. Either way. Another friend told me that they still only have the one daughter, she's 4 now. It's funny, I realized that I still care about him to the extent that I'm glad to hear that he's doing well & is happy, but I don't have any of the feelings for him anymore. If I had seen him, it could've been as casual (or awkward) as he wanted it to be. I could easily carry on a light conversation with him, or leave it at a nod & a wave. I am 100%, completely & totally in love with my DH!
Ooops, this is getting long! I'll end it here & try to get caught up on all y'all! I'm going to post a few pics soon. I'm a geek, I took cloud pics from the plane on the way back. LOL!

No focus!!!
I feel like a horrible employee! I keep TRYING to work, but my mind is in a million directions. I do this every trip, it's like I just can't funtion unless it all gets pushed to the last minute & scrambled to be done! I should prob just make a list of everything that I think needs to be done, then cross things off that could really wait.
Has anyone else tried the "Smooth Away" hair removal system? Basically you sand the hair off. Mom & sis tried it & it worked for them, so I bought one. Not bad, but not the best if you have stubborn hair. (gotta love pcos) It did do a good exfoliation before I finally just shaved though.
Oh & I think I'm going to FREEZE in MT this w/e! Ok, it's been in the 60s-70s there for a week or so. But it's been in the 70s-90s here for the last 2 months! It's sunny, but has only been about 65 for the last 2 days here & I am freezing. I gotta be nuts to be going North.
We don't really know if all the plans this w/e will get completely messed up. The plan was to fly into Bi.ll.ings & attend the convention there. The fam from Mi.sso.ula was going to drive over & spend the w/e with us there. WELL, g-ma K's sciatic nerve has been bothering her for the past month & this past w/e she did something that really wrenched it. The chiro who she went to thinks that she may have a herniated disk & wants a mri. So my MIL calls to tell me that good scenario will be the dr giving her pain meds & letting her go this w/e anyway. Worst case scenario is that she won't be able to travel & then in-laws will come get us in Blngs & take us back to Msla for the w/e. I don't like that answer really. It would mean that we'd have to catch a convention in Columbia. Not undoable, but we don't have a rm reserved there anymore & this was the time that we both got off work already! I know that I griped about people who I didn't want to see, but I'm really looking forward to the actual event! May sound nuts, but it's a religious convention & with all that's been going on lately, it would be a welcome relief from day to day life right now. I need to know soon though, because I need to know if I need to completely re-pack! I'm not crazy about the idea of getting on a plane & not knowing the agenda for the w/e!!!
Ok, I'll try to get back to work now. Thanks if you got through this! I hope I don't sound totally uncaring about G-ma, I didn't mean it to come out like that.

The 411, an award, & DH is so cute!
I'll start with the DH thing. As you know, he works nights. When he gets home in the morning, he usually watches tv for a bit, then goes to bed after I leave. So I'm getting dressed this morning & he says "hey honey, did you know that Clear Blue makes a fertility monitor? Do you want one?" I said yup, I know about them, but I was going to spend that much, I'd get an Ovwatch. Him- "Why? What's the difference?" So I explaned it to him & he said "Oh, ok. When we get back from MT, I'm going to call around & see what we need to do to get my sperm tested." Sorry, I thought it was cute. Maybe it's just that I'm tired, yet in a good mood today!

Stuff...
Ok, a couple things. Let me know if you need more details on any of it.
- Thanks for helping me set a record in my comments! Not including mine, there were 15 on that post yesterday! That's cool! Thanks for sharing your experiences with me. I still wish that there was a class or something that all women would have to take on how it all really works.
- My job- I'm staying here for a while. I'll see how things are in a month or two. Not to say that I won't take a great offer if one comes along. I can only handle so much change at a time & I want to see how DH's job changes go before I mix things up. The environment here is MUCH better with the other guy gone. My boss is the one who's here all the time now & we get along great. He's giving me more to do, so I feel useful.
- The end of a marriage- Not mine, but sadly my little sis'. Her husband has been gone for about 2 1/2 yrs now. He kept taking jobs out of state (he's a level 4 welder). He was back for a while at the beginning of last yr, but took off again. (side story- she was sexually assaulted in her home by a client who had "stalked" her. bil came home & accused her of having an affair & took off again. ) She has been trying to deal with it all & put herself back together. In doing so, she decided that she didn't want him back & forth. She wanted him here for good, or gone for good. He came home this past w/e & gave the family the impression that he was going to try to work it out. She was understandably hurt & angry, but was willing to try. It would take time, but not impossible. She came home Wed night to a lawyer's business card in her door. He stopped by, gave her back the keys & said he'd filed. In SC, you have to file for separation first so it's just that for now. Somehow, I keep hoping that maybe it's not real & they may still work it out. But I also think about the last couple of yrs & wonder if this may be better in the long run. I'm her sister & I love her no matter what, but I won't take sides in this. She's used me as a sounding board & I respond with "hmmms" & "how do you feel about that?". It's hard not to give opinions or advice, but they have to make this decision on their own. This hurts. I was her Matron of Honor when they got married (3/9/02).
Ok, that's what's on my mind today. TGIF! This w/e will be a busy one of getting everything ready to go. We leave in 5 days!

Before IF (poss trigs)
I've seen a lot of posts lately about how naive many of us were back when we first started TTC. I didn't want to be a comment-hog, so figured I'd start a discussion about it.
I was only 20 (dh was 23) when we got married. I'd always known I wanted kids, but I also wanted to enjoy being a couple for a while. Both sets of our parents had gotten married young. Mine were 17 (mom) & 19 (dad). His were 16 (mom) & 19 (dad). Both sets had their first child within 2yrs of getting married. We both have great parents who have & would still do anything in their power for their children. But, we also saw the struggles of being young parents. So, we agreed on 5yrs. I foolishly thought it would be that easy. We made it clear from the beginning that we were waiting & our parents were supportive of that choice.
I had our first m/c about 11 months into our marriage. I had gotten pg between bcs & figured it was just one of those things. I'm not sure exactly how far I was, but prob about 6wks. I was sad, but also kinda relieved & I dealt with it by never talking about it. (until 1 1/2 yrs later when my sil had a m/c & my mil said something about me not being in that position or knowing what i was talking about & i broke down & totally lost it! sil has since then gone on to have 2 beautiful, healthy girls.)
We went on though, and decided to stick to the 5yr plan. I went off any hormonal bc in March 04 due to nasty s/e, & we continued with OTC contraceptives, though not always used consistantly. So, I got pg sometime in the spring of 05. I missed 2 periods & knew that's what it was. I was thrilled, it was a little earlier then planned, but we were at a good place in our relationship. Only, I wasn't getting accurate readings on hpts. I'd heard stories though of women who didn't get positives until they got a blood test though, so I went in for one. My beta was 5. My dr told me that with my LMP, & that low of a reading, there was no way that it was viable. So I took Provera & it was the worst period of my life. (i'd like to note that it was the same wk that the cat who i'd had since i was 16 died. it was a horrible wk, yet i had one friend criticize my decision to avoid 2 weddings & a gradutaion) This time, I talked about it a little more openly, but didn't really get much response, so I stopped. I withdrew & spent a lot less time with "friends".
Later that yr, we had plans to build our house. I turned 25 that Nov & decided that both m/c were a fluke & were so far apart & I hadn't really been "trying" either time. I just knew that if we actually were trying, it would happen. I wanted my baby to be born the following Sept or Dec & was even trying for a boy. I got books so I could maximize my timing & know what symptoms to look for, but I knew it was going to happen. After all (my HUGE misconceptions), IF was for women who had waited too long. Or for women who'd had major issues from the time they were teens. (i had a friend with endo, i knew about things like tipped uteruses. but i figured that anything bad enought to prevent a pg would've been found on any of my previous medical exams)
So, that was going on 4yrs ago. And I have learned more about IF than I ever imagined. I've had many mean, pushy, & thoughtless things said to me. It's made me wonder what I may have said to others back when I was clueless. I've seen most of our friends move on & have 2,3, or even 4 children while we're stuck at "TTC #1". I see news stories where people who never deserve to have children do terrible things to them. I've shed many tears & uttered many "not fairs".
Worse than that, I've learned how many other women suffer with this too. I've gained a great group of on-line friends, but I wish we could've met any other way. I've also drawn away from who I was. I don't spend as much time with previous friends because I'm so sick of no one talking about this damn elephant in the room. I don't want to bring it up & sound whiney, but c'mon! Can't they see it? It's standing on my toe for crying out loud!
I'm sorry that this post has gotten long & I promise that it is not my intention to make anyone cry. The trip next wk is on my mind though & I'm NOT looking forward to all the comments, questions, & "suggestions" from everyone. So, that gets me to thinking about how grateful I am to have all of you in my life. Women who really "get it". We are all so much stronger than we think. I'm bringing the laptop & will rely on all y'all to keep me sane!
(((((HUGS)))))
BTW- What was your biggest misconception before you had to deal w/IF?

BTW- What was your biggest misconception before you had to deal w/IF?

Good news about DH's job!
First, thanks for all the good wishes for our anniversary! And the nice comments on the photos. (Sherry, you made me blush!) I'll try to get a newer photo for my profile.
Ok, about a month or so ago, I mentioned that there were developments at DH's job, but I didn't want to jinx it by talking about it. Those developments have progressed & I feel a little more comfortable sharing the good news w/y'all.
They have branched into water & fire restoration! Ok, I'm going to assume that it doesn't make sense for me to be so excited about what most would consider tragedy. My reason is- the cleanup of those damages pays REALLY well! And, (most of the time) the money is guaranteed by ins! So, he currently makes 16% of the total job while doing regular cleaning. His boss has offered him 12% of restoration. This seems smaller but he will prob be making 2-3 times what he brings home now. Oh AND they'll be buying the carpet & pad from the company I work for!!!
Can we say WOOHOO!!!! All the equipment has been bought, the ins companies have been contacted. One of the guys already went to training & DH will be going with the boss a couple wks after we get back from MT.
DH also pitched the idea of haz-mat & crime scene clean-up to his boss. He's done mold remediation & has cleaned up after 2 deaths, yet just veiws it as a job & doesn't mind doing it. I think it's gross, but my only requirements are a full Tyvek suit, a resperator, & nothing contaminated to come into my home! His boss is thinking it would be a good venue for profit. They have most of the equipment for it, would need the training.
When I say training- DH has an IICRC certified Journeyman's licence. There are all sorts of classes, depending on your level, & he has most of the certifications except the higher restoration ones. The IICRC certified techs are working on unionizing & setting industry standards. Which would put a lot of the bad companies out of business. (really, any idiot w/the money can buy a truck-mount & call himself a professional!) They need about 8 more states.
Ok, sorry, we have "boring" jobs. But I'm excited anyway! :^)

8 years ago
I said "I do"! And I'm glad I did.
The song that we danced to was Bon Jovi "Thank You For Loving Me". It's kinda funny how that song was chosen. We'd gone back & forth for a couple months about what the song should be. Not too cheesy, not one that everyone else had done, current, but romantic with the right words & tune. So, I'm listening to the radio one day & that comes on. I called him,. but got his vm, so left him a mssg that I thought I'd found the song. He called me a little later & said that he'd heard a song that would be great. Turned out to be the same one!
The words to it have more meaning to me now than they possibly could've then. We've had our share of ups & downs & we're even weathering IF together. It's not always all peachy. We're both stubborn as hell. I don't fight fair & I don't back down. But, here we still are & I know that there's no one else I'd rather be with. So, to Travis- I did, I still do, & I always will!
For the rest of you (it's almost like being there!)-
His Best man is his brother, my Maid of Honor is my little sis.
My mom made the cake, it was sooo pretty. The very top is a music box that play "Unchained Melodies"
Oh, & included in the flavors of my cake were caramel cake & a carrot cake. My mom has an AWESOME frosting recipe!
You can't really see it, but I was wearing sneakers! Little white canvas ones, no sore feet for this bride!
Us, with my parents. Yes, I was fine with my mom's dress, it was really pretty. My MIL though, wore FUCHIA (nope, still not over that!) because she didn't think it would be right to wear black to a wedding & think's only the bride should wear white (technically, the dresses in this pic are off-white/cream, so there!).

Did we all make it through the weekend?
I don't really understand how a holliday that I don't celebrate can be so hard on me! (we don't celebrate because I take every opportunity to show love & honor to my mother, instead of one day out of the year. Not saying that the rest of you don't love & honor your moms throughout the year, just stating why we don't celebrate)
ANYWAY, I guess it's just all the reminders in the weeks leading up to it. I get junk mail in solid & electronic form about it, it's on the radio, on tv, ads all over the grocery store. It's rediculous! Someone may as well hang neon sings all over my house that say "hey, Steph, if you weren't already thinking about it- you're NOT a mom!" Gaaaah!
And AF was around FULL FORCE all w/e, so I may have been slightly more hormonal than usual. The good thing is that AF also is a great reason to not leave my house. So, I got productive! I may have mentioned that we've had these boxes of papers that should've been sorted & filed yrs ago. I recently decided to go through them, shred anything that was 2005 or older (except tax returns) & sort the rest. I FINALLY got through my last box of shredding! I started on the sorting & filing (nice file cabinet, never been used!), but ran out of folders. I told DH that at least the next time we move, it will be more organized!
So then I decided to work on the scrapbook that I started for mom & dad last year. It's an 'our family' book for them. I got 2 more pages done! The one for Rascal (cat who died last sept at the age of 17) turned out really cool, though it made me tear up. I made the mistake of buying scrapbooks that are 8", that was kinda dumb. After working on it for a while, I get why they're usually 12". I have one more 8" one & was thinking about finally doing up a wedding album. (totally diff subject, but our photographer forgot to show up! I haven't done one yet, because I hated the darn pics!)
(((((HUGS))))) to all of you today! I hope this time next year will be a joyful time for all of us! :^)

Thursday's TMI on Friday morning!
I really was going to post this yesterday. Then these people came in & stayed until almost 6. Mom & little sis came over & little sis ended up opening up & talking to us about some things that have happened in the last year. (i can't really talk about it, but i am so sad for her & sooo very angry at some people who've hurt her. i would love to get a b-ball bat & go repay them) So, after sis left (she was exhausted & had a headache), mom & I watched Su.rvi.vor & He.ll's Ki.tch.en. I thought about posting this at 10:30 so it would still be Thurs, but went to bed instead! Still funny though so here it is----
Kiss the rainbow-
If you don't already know, you should swallow when you're kissing someone to keep the saliva down. I knew that at age 17, but the guy I made out with at the time (my bf/ex-fiancee) did not.
So, we're making out one day & when we pulled away, there's a line of spit between us! We both just laughed a little & wiped it away, but it was still kinda gross.
When DH & I were first dating (i've only ever kissed 2 guys) & it moved onto the kissing phase I made sure that he knew that wet kisses are not really that great!

An award!

Thanks Jayme! That's really sweet! I nominate- Erin (briarrose), Marie (jjmarie), Allison, Richelle, & Katie (speechgirl). I think all the ladies I read deserve it though! Blogland wouldn't be the same w/o all of you!!!
Side note- I've been kinda crabby/emotional this week. I really just don't feel "right". Other than my mood, My face feels greasy, I've been too warm, I have CRS (can't remember sh**), difficulty putting together a sentence, I can sleep for 9 hrs & not want to get up, nothing I eat seems to be settling, just blah! I think maybe pms because I get random cramps, but not bad ones yet. I think maybe stress, there have been a lot of changes lately. Just a lot of everything going on, but I should be back to good soon. I apologize if I've seemed quiet/crazier than normal/ sappy/bi*chy, or all of the above.
I've got a funny "TMI Thursday" to post later. Are there any rules to that so I don't invoke the anger of the blog gods?

What did I ever do to my career counseller?
Cause, I'm obviously not doing this -
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/30593497/?GT1=43001
Lucky guy, I want that job! Even if it was only 6 months & then I had to come back to reality.
There, THAT would be my "dream job"! That's what I want to do! How do I make it happen?

I am a bad blogger!
Happy hump day ladies! I want to let you know that I haven't forgotten y'all. I've just been busy & haven't really gotten to post. I have been trying to keep up with commenting on your blogs though. I appreciate the comments left on my blog & want to thank you for giving my mom a nice welcome! Nancy, did you get a chance to blow up cans? LOL!
There has been some very sad news in blogland this week. I am sending out major ((((HUGS)))) to all my IF sisters. I am esp sorry for Margriet & Dot's bfn's. :*^( It's really just not fair.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This week has been busier at work. Not so much people coming in (RAIN), but I get to do stuff! Isn't that a silly thing to get excited about? It's been much calmer & less tension now that Lucifer is in Utah. I've been placing orders & even posted a payment today & guess what? The world didn't end, the building didn't fall down, & the computer didn't blow up. In fact, my boss said thank you. (shock! no freaking long lectures about how he doesn't know what's going on if he doesn't put it in himself)
Funnyish story that I really must tell about Lucifer's wife- She calls yesterday on the buisiness line to ask if my little sis is going to come have lunch with me. Ummm, no. Why?
A little background- Sis has known the guy for a few yrs. When I started working here & she'd come to see me, she'd chat with him. Last summer they shared a couple jokes back & forth verbally, then via txt mssg. His wife saw her # on the phone bill, assumed the worst, & called to chew her out over talking/texting with a married man. Told her to stay away from her husband & never txt him again. Little sis is like "ooo-kaay" & has not txted him again, though she did still chat with him when she'd come to see me. I will state that sis IS a bit of a flirt, but not at all interested. She does have HUGE bbs, like double E, or whatever. (they're natural & she says they're a hassle) It's hard for guys not to notice them & I think they make some wives feel insecure.
Fast forward to last Friday when we had the luncheon- little sis was there. Not a big deal, a lot of people were there. Well, she chated with him. In front of his wife. And didn't say much TO his wife, who she doesn't really know very well. (and due to last summer, sis thinks she's a little scary) I was here, didn't think anything inappropriate was going on.
So, scary she-devil's reason for asking if sis was going to have lunch w/me is that she thinks she's going to "set her straight" and let her know what's what & "how to behave w/someone else's husband". Now, c'mon. Do you REALLY think I'm going to let her tear into my baby sis about something she didn't do with a guy who's now 6 states away? Esp since she will be moving out there in a month & as far as I'm concerned doesn't ever have to even THINK about any of us again?
No, I'm not. My sis is "troubled" & has her faults. But she's starting to get stable & does NOT need to be verbally ripped to shreds by anyone right now. (you really have no idea how much the family has been through the last 6-8 months trying to hold her together) So I pretty much stated that I would NOT be facilitating that. My boss heard my end of the conversation & asked me for the whole story. I told him. He called up She-devil (this is his wife's sis after all) and told her to let it go. To leave both me & my sis alone, that sis is going through enough crap & does not need this added to it. He's awesome!
Yeah, so I got psycho screamed at yesterday, how bout you?
My newest follower!
Is me mum! She's new to the world of blogging, so please go over & give her a welcome at her new blog!
For anyone who's wondering, mom has had my blog address since shortly after I started it. We're close & there's not much that I say here that I wouldn't tell her about anyway. She "knows" who several of you are & is as supportive of your IF battles as she is of mine. :^)
Hot flashes
Whooo! Who turned up the heat? I feel like my skin (particularly my face) is going to melt & slide off of me. Anyone have a freezer w/dsl that I can work in today?
I'm not getting my hopes up for it to be anything other than PMS. I haven't gained my 3 "period pounds" yet, but I started spotting yesterday.
Gaining a new sympathy for menopausal women. Is this what they go through all the time?!?!
Irritate your wife day
I missed the announcement, but it was yesterday. I thought maybe I was just PMSing, but mom said that dad was bugging her too & I see from blogs that it's been going around.
Here's how Travis did-
I think I mentioned that I've been going kinda non-stop since Tues. Yesterday, I got up at 6:30, after having gone to bed at close to 1am on Thurs. Went to work, did the whole going away luncheon for the other guy, got off at 5. I was so tired I think I could've fallen asleep standing up.
The baseball game was NOT rained out, so there was the whole "let's go" aspect & no time for a nap. I went up to our apt to change cloaths & was thinking about how pissed I was & that there was no way I'd be able to stay awake for it. So I called him (cell, not out the window!) & told him that I just couldn't & to go ahead & go with my mom. So, he got ticky, but left. Calls me a few minutes later to tell me that mom cxld too & why did we say we wanted to go if we didn't really. I replied with "why on earth did you buy the tickets 3 days in advance? It's not like it's ever sold out!"
By now, he's irritated that we're tired & I'm irritated that he'd already wasted the money on the tickets. So he goes "maybe I'll just go to a movie". I said whatever. He ended up coming home, after going through KFC & to the store for beer. I had fallen asleep by then & didn't wake up until 9 or so.
He was asleep when I woke up, so I ate dinner & watched some things I'd DVRed. He woke up & was still talking about going to a movie. I told him he could go if he wanted to, but I was going to bed. So he starts slamming around & acting mad at me. He thinks it's unfair that I "never want to do anything & don't let him do anything". I reminded him that I'd had 2 wks of crappy checks & that we're leaving in less than 3 wks. He'll be the first one who will complain about not having money when we're there. He said "it's just one movie" Only, it WASN'T really!
I went to mom's Thurs night to prepare the luncheon. He had said that he was going to eat leftover something from the fridge. Instead, he ordered pizza- $23!!! Then there were the baseball tickets that didn't get used- $21. And he'd stopped for chicken & beer- prob $15-20. He's had it planned that he's going to a race nxt w/e & wants to take $50 to that. We have to pay rent this week & he wants to spend ANOTHER $15 going to a movie?!?!?!?
So, mega low-blow, he said it wasn't HIS checks that have been low & what about the $50 I spent getting my hair done. I wanted to strangle him, but instead I threw his pillow at him, said I hoped the couch was comfortable, & went to bed. This morning, he was still storming around being mad with me, I ignored it. He has since then texted me asking me to forgive him & called to discuss what we're doing tonight. I'm not mad anymore, but I wish he would "get it"!
He's saying that he's going to work nxt Sat instead of going to the race, but I'm not commenting on that one way or the other. I don't want it getting turned around as being "my fault" that he never does anything fun. (WTH do i ever get to do for fun? i have inexpensive hobbies & actually prefer to play a game of cards w/someone than to go to a movie) Ok, thanks for listening. I just needed to vent. The good thing is that these fights are few & far between.
Then there were the baseball tickets that didn't get used- $21. And he'd stopped for chicken & beer- prob $15-20. He's had it planned that he's going to a race nxt w/e & wants to take $50 to that. We have to pay rent this week & he wants to spend ANOTHER $15 going to a movie?!?!?!?
So, mega low-blow, he said it wasn't HIS checks that have been low & what about the $50 I spent getting my hair done. I wanted to strangle him, but instead I threw his pillow at him, said I hoped the couch was comfortable, & went to bed. This morning, he was still storming around being mad with me, I ignored it. He has since then texted me asking me to forgive him & called to discuss what we're doing tonight. I'm not mad anymore, but I wish he would "get it"!
He's saying that he's going to work nxt Sat instead of going to the race, but I'm not commenting on that one way or the other. I don't want it getting turned around as being "my fault" that he never does anything fun. (WTH do i ever get to do for fun? i have inexpensive hobbies & actually prefer to play a game of cards w/someone than to go to a movie) Ok, thanks for listening. I just needed to vent. The good thing is that these fights are few & far between.
Blowing up aluminum cans...
Keep in mind that none of us are teens anymore, so if you didn't do anything this stupid then, it's too late to try it now. But here's how to do it.
1- Chug a can of any caffeinated sugared beverage.
2- Crush the can
3- Carefully stuck a Blackcat in the mouth of the can
4- Light it
5- Set it down & quickly step back, keeping in mind that they have short fuses
6- The can will blow outward when the Blackcat goes off
7- Double over in laughter from how cool it is to blow stuff up
8- Drink MORE caffeinated sugared beverage & repeat steps 1-7 until you run out of soda
9- Try it on the cans that you've already "straightened" & figure out that it decimates them.
(are any of you familiar w/Je.ff Du.nh.am's "dead ter.ror.ist" charactor? "We'll find it, & then we're going to blowitup!")
I don't have much of a tollerance for fireworks anymore. I like the big shows that the malls put on ~oohhh, pretty!~, but I'm sick of living in states where any idiot can buy them. (year round in SC!) Esp since I don't always have whatever holliday off & the cats crawl around on their bellies all night. I guess I'm getting old...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My other thought for today is "Ding-Dong, The witch is dead! Which old witch? The wicked witch!" (pop-up stupid fact- i've never seen "the wizzard of oz") It's his last day here! :^D We're even throwing him a surprise going away luncheon. Then he's gone! I'm excited to see what next wk will bring.
~~~
And I'm hoping that the baseball game gets rained out tonight. I am SOOO tired! I've been going nonestop all wk & would really love a night in.
Have a great Friday!
